Who we are
LiftLab.guru is a member experience platform for independent gyms, operated by Frahm Agency. We build tools that help gym members get more value from the gym they already pay for. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@liftlab.guru.
What information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to provide the service:
- Account information — your name and email address, provided when your gym invites you to LiftLab.guru.
- Fitness profile — your stated goal, experience level, and training preferences that you provide when setting up your workout program.
- Workout logs — the exercises, weights, and reps you record during sessions.
- Check-in data — timestamps of when you scan into the gym using the QR check-in feature, if your gym uses it.
We do not collect payment information from members. Gym membership billing is handled entirely by your gym, not LiftLab.guru.
How we use your information
- To generate and maintain your personalized workout program.
- To calculate progressive overload suggestions based on your logged sessions.
- To display your progress over time in charts and summaries.
- To allow your gym's trainers to see your workout activity and reach out with encouragement or program adjustments.
- To send you transactional emails (account setup, program updates) — never unsolicited marketing.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to operate LiftLab.guru:
- Clerk — handles authentication (sign-in, account creation, email invitations).
- Supabase — stores your profile, workout programs, and logged sessions in a secured Postgres database.
- Anthropic — your fitness profile and gym equipment data are sent to Anthropic's AI API to generate your workout program. Workout content is not used to train Anthropic's models under the API terms of service.
- Resend — sends transactional emails on our behalf.
- Your gym — the gym owner and trainers can see your workout activity, check-in history, and program details. This is the core purpose of the platform.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained for as long as you have an active account. If you want your account and data deleted, email us at hello@liftlab.guru and we will remove your records within 30 days. Your gym may also request deletion on your behalf.
Security
Your data is stored in a secured cloud database (Supabase) with row-level access controls — meaning your workout data is only accessible to you and your gym. Authentication is handled by Clerk, which follows industry-standard security practices.
Beta notice
LiftLab.guru is currently in a beta phase. During this period, some features may change and we may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting an updated policy on this page.
